Mikaze sebenarnya adalah Musical Cyborg, model, & untuk tingkat tertentu masih mental terkait dengan mantan mahasiswa akademi Saotome, Aine, untuk membuatnya melihat dunia bahwa itu tidak menakutkan dan belajar perasaan positif yang akan terhubung ke pikiran Aine ini. Aine juga teman sekelas dari Reiji tahun / kelas tapi lelah bekerja dan melakukan bunuh diri yang menempatkan dia menjadi koma, yang mengakibatkan terciptanya Mikaze Ai.

Ai adalah seorang anak yang tinggi dengan warna mata cyan dan cyan biru bahu diikat rambut ekor kuda. Dia sering memakai celana putih, kemeja putih, rompi krem dan jaket putih. Juga mengenakan celana baggy yang warna coklat, dan kemeja hitam dan jaket biru, dan kadang-kadang T-shirt mirip dengan warna mata dan rambutnya.

Dalam anime dia dalam kuartet idola dengan Reiji, Ranmaru, dan Camus disebut QUARTET NIGHT. Dalam debut, dikatakan bahwa dia seorang android (AI singkatan Artificial Intelligence). Ai adalah sangat tepat dan pekerja keras.

Dalam CD Drama, Ai panggilan sesama seniornya dengan nama mereka diberikan, tetapi berbeda yang dia sebut semua STARISH dengan nama lengkap mereka (nama keluarga dan diberi nama).

Ai pertama kali muncul dengan Camus, Kurosaki Ranmaru, dan Kotobuki Reiji melakukan salah satu lagu mereka sebagai hologram, dan berakhir sebagai diri manusia mereka. Ai ditugaskan senior Syo Kurusu dan Shinomiya Natsuki. Ai mengaku tidak memiliki kepentingan dalam mengajar mereka, tetapi bahwa mereka akan membuat tes yang menarik subjek. Ai merasa bahwa Syo tidak cukup disiplin dan membuat jadwal harian baginya (dan Natsuki) untuk diikuti.
